Remember back when horse racing was an elegant, all-day event with beautiful hats like Eliza Doolittle's?
Well, it's not like that anymore. Bookies and beer and white-trash America now spend the day at the racetrack. It was still nice to see the horses and the home of the Belmont Stakes (something to check off my list), but it's really not my scene.
P.S. If I was a "betting man" I would have won at least one race. Thanks Tahitian Warrior :)
